Our Port Network Authority president, Luciano Guerrieri, and managing director, Matteo Paroli, welcomed US Consul General in Florence, Ragini Gupta, this afternoon at Palazzo Rosciano.

During the meeting, the president illustrated the investment plan for developing  our network ports, focusing in particular on certain projects that are expected to make the difference in  confirming Livorno port’s central role on international trade routes.

Discussion points included the Darsena Europa seaward expansion facility, railway enhancement projects for the ports of Livorno and Piombino, and numerous energy sustainability initiatives  in the Network Energy Planning Document.

The consul expressed great interest in the projects currently being implemented, sharing their strategic importance for the economy of the entire area. The opportunity to strengthen institutional ties between the US Consulate General and the Port Network  Authority was also highlighted.

After  the meeting, the consul visited the port of Livorno accompanied by staff from the Promotion Dept.
